Advisory Committee on Radioisotopes and Radiation Hazards
The Advisory Committee on Radioisotopes and Radiation Hazards includes faculty members selected because of their expertise or stake in radiation safety matters.
UBC's policy #11, Radiation Safety, authorizes this committee to act as the agent for the University in all matters of acquisition, control, review and mediation arising from the use or production of radioactive materials and ionizing radiation at the University.
Members of the committee advise UBC management and the RSO on radiation safety matters in general, and the effectiveness of radiation safety programs within the University.
More details about the committee and how it functions are included in its terms of reference.
